'AMAZING' Trip to Japan

             Our last holiday in Japan was amazing. My family and I were there for one week. Our trip started on 8^th August 2009 until 15^th August 2009. We were on the plane for 5-6 hours. After we arrived we went for city tour by mini bus. The weather in Tokyo was sunny and windy at that time. But sometimes it was rainy too. We stayed in one hotel that was Disney Land Tokyo Hotel.

            On the third day, we went to Ginza. Ginza is a lovely district in Tokyo. In there we can see many shops with world brands. I was very happy and kept looking around until I lost my family. Because Ginza is one of the busiest cities in the world and so many people in there, I started to panic and got confused to see many people around me. I was very afraid there! I lost my family and I didn’t know where my hotel is. I sat in front of a flower shop and waited around 30 minutes alone. I tried to ask the owner of the flower shop in English about the police office, but she didn’t understand what I was talking about. I wanted to cry but God is good. Before crying my mom and my little sister called my name and in the same time I knew Ginza wasn’t a quite district. It was like New York City!

            This is my memorable moment because it was out of mind. I went to another country and lost my family. I cannot speak in Japanese and they can’t speak in Indonesian, even English, so our communication there wasn’t good. To see my family again was God’s miracle to me. (vna)

My Favorite Movie

The Last song is one of my favorite movies. I like this movie because the story is simple, it’s romantic film, this film doesn’t use computer effect (real), and gives morality for teenagers. Walt Disney Production produced this film and released it at January 8^th 2010. Julie Anne Robinson is the director of this film and Miley Cyrus as Ronnie is the main actrees in this movie. Beside her, there are Greg Kinnear (as Steve Miller), Bobby Coleman (as Jonah Miller), Liam Hemsworth (as Will Blakelee), Hallock Beals (as Scott), Kelly Preston (as Kim), Nick Searcy (as Tom Blakelee), Kate Vernon (as Susan Blakelee), and many more. This film was made in Georgia-USA and of course using english.

            The length of this film is about 1 hours and 30 minutes and filmed in some places in Asia such as in Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, India, and much more. The main theme of this film is romance and I think the secondary theme are forgiveness because they love and forgiveness connect in someway to most of the characters.

            The part of this film that I like is when Ronnie knows that her father has leukemia and she gets shocked and sad. When she regrets because she always argues with her father, she wants to forgive his father and make it up with him. I like this part because it teaches me to respect my family more and especially my father. For me, this film is good and I like all parts of this film. There are not any parts that I do not like.

            I recommend this film to all my friends (especially for teenagers) because the moral values of this film can help us to be more grateful with our lives and I would rate this film with number 9! (vna)

Tabur Tuai Diana Pura Cup

Tim basket putra SMA Tunas Daud kembali beraksi dalam Diana Pura Cup yang diselenggarakan 15-19 Februari kemarin. Setelah kalah dalam ajang DBL lalu, tim basket ini mendapat posisi harapan 1 dan mengukir sejarah baru untuk tim basket putra Tunas Daud.

            Dinilai kurang beruntung di DBL kemarin, para pemain putra saling bahu-membahu dan penuh antusias memenangkan setiap pertandingan kali ini. Walau hanya mendapat posisi harapan 1, namun pihak sekolah tetap menghargai usaha mereka dalam mengikuti perlombaan ini. Sekolah ingin memberikan pengalaman dan wawasan baru untuk para peserta dalam menghadapi musuh dan mengimbangi strategi musuh daripada mengejar posisi juara. “Harapan untuk menjadi tiga besar memang ada, namun yang lebih penting dari itu adalah pengalaman untuk bekal anak-anak nantinya.” ujar guru olahraga sekaligus salahsatu pelatih tim basket Tunas Daud Agus P. Djohanis I. Thio.

            Pada putaran pertama tim Tunas Daud dihadapkan dengan SMK Wira Harapan dan lolos ke putaran kedua dengan skor akhir 64-41. Pertandingan semakin memanas ketika tim Tunas Daud dihadapkan dengan SMK Triatmajaya. Pasalnya setelah ketinggalan empat bola, tim Tunas Daud mengejar hingga menyamai kedudukan menjadi 29-29 di kuarter terakhir. Pada detik-detik terakhir, free throw dari Tegar Alexander Luhukay membawa keunggulan setengah bola untuk kemenangan Tunas Daud. “Putaran kedua waktu itu seperti mengobati rasa luka anak-anak yang disingkirkan oleh SMA N 4 Singaraja dengan skor tipis.” ungkap Agus dengan ekspresi bahagia.

            Harapan-harapan ke depan yang masih ingin dicapai tim Tunas Daud adalah mengikuti setiap pertandingan yang ada serta terus berlatih dan memperbaiki teknik-teknik dalam bermain basket. (vna)

            Selain itu salahsatu dari dua skutik atau motor matic yang siap tempur disinyalir akan menambah kenyamanan pengguna karena perpaduan teknologi terbaru yang disuguhkan Honda pada pasar. ”Seperti kejadian yang sering kita alami ketika kita berkendara di jalan dan bertemu kerabat, tanpa mematikan mesin motor kita diam beberapa saat, maka secara otomatis mesin motor akan mati dan ketika kita ingin memulai kembali perjalan kita, kita tidak perlu menstarter ulang melainkan tinggal tancap gas saja.” perjelas Gede Legawa selaku Marketing Promotion PT.             Suguhan terakhir di tahun ini berasal dari segmen sport. Tak jauh berbeda dengan segmen motor bebek yang diproduksi Honda, segmen sport juga tak mau kalah dengan regenerasi Mega Pro. ”Perbedaaannya tidak jauh berbeda dari Mega Pro yang lama, namun inovasi-inovasi terbaru akan tetap menambah nilai jual yang berbeda pada pada Honda New Mega Pro 156,7” lanjut Gede.
